An Amazigh Dictionary in Your Pocket

• We are pleased to present to you the first Amazigh Arabic-Amazigh dictionary that operates on the iOS system. It is the first pocket-size Amazigh dictionary in a series of various language dictionaries available for free download.
• The upcoming dictionary series will include an Amazigh-English dictionary, as well as an Amazigh-French dictionary, primarily targeting native Amazigh speakers and those interested in learning the language. The Amazigh-Arabic dictionary contains over 70,000 words alphabetically arranged for easy word access.
• This is the initial version of the dictionary, to be followed by three additional versions expected to expand the word count to over 100,000 words, including compound words commonly used by Amazigh language students in Morocco and Libya. The dictionary is based on several existing Amazigh dictionaries, notably the Arabic-Amazigh dictionary by the esteemed professor Mohammed Shefik, and other specialized Amazigh dictionaries along with personal compilations.
• Among the key advantages of electronic dictionaries are ease of addition and correction. We encourage users to assist us in correcting and adding entries, as well as providing feedback to improve this dictionary. Constructive criticism is welcomed to enhance our language.
• The Arabic section of the dictionary features a search function divided into two types: direct word search and a broader search into word meanings. The Amazigh section allows searching in Tifinagh script or Arabic letters for those unfamiliar with Tifinagh writing.
• Additional features include bookmarking words, a daily word feature to aid vocabulary growth, full alphabetical browsing capability, and the ability to share words via email or popular social media platforms such as Facebook.
• Finally, we have provided users with customization options to change the font type, color, and size of the dictionary. Rest assured that we will continue updating this dictionary with new and useful features in the near future.
